Shaped Canvas: Room installations with open image formats

Project presentation of Katrin Laade & Sonja Tintelnot
In their artistic work, Sonja Tintelnot and Katrin Laade have explored, among other things, image formats that go beyond the normal panel format. The aim is to explore visual boundaries together in a new environment so that an overall installation can be created. The painterly works are created on flexible textile surfaces that can be varied at will and expand into the space. The FREIRAUM offers the opportunity to playfully explore format and image boundaries, to break free from format restrictions and to interact with the space in an experimental process.
Sonja Tintelnot and Katrin Laade will develop their planned project “Shaped Canvas: spatial installation with open image formats” at FREIRAUM from November 9 – 17 and present the result to visitors from November 15 – 17.
