How can we find a common language in an artistic-collaborative way with multiple generations? How do we learn to play again? The two Swedish artists Ana Carolina Fleming and Krystallia Sakellariou, current residents of the Düsseldorf producers’ gallery plan.d., will give insights into their artistic work at FREIRAUM. Following their art and research process, they will open the atelier to interested visitors as part of the FREIRAUM Salon and present their installation “Spelrum i Frirum”.
Please register informally by e-mail to freiraum@benjriepe.com.
Thanks to support from the Impulse Academy “History is made”, this year’s idea was to start planning an online platform for FREIRAUM in exchange with experts and other projects. The goal was to create a kind of “FREIRAUM digital”: a place that introduces FREIRAUM and transports its concept of low-threshold and collaborative work as well as reciprocal input into the digital space. As participants of FREIRAUM, the main focus was on you; What traces do you leave behind during your work in FREIRAUM and how can we make them sustainably visible? Which traces are interesting for you at all? What requirements should such a platform fulfill so that it meets our demands for low-threshold and collaborative working and archiving processes? How could you benefit from the “traces” of other and former FREIRAUM participants from all disciplines? FREIRAUM Salon #2 gave us the opportunity to discuss thoughts and ideas for such a platform.
