The occasion for this salon was the visit of the WELTKUNSTZIMMER – Residents from the bangaloREsidency-Expanded Program of the Goethe Institute Bangalore. The choreographer and performer Ainesh Madan and the artist and dancer Sonia Soney, were guests in Düsseldorf from November 02 to December 16.

We gave the FREIRAUM community the opportunity to network with the contemporary scene from Bangalore and provided opportunities for inspiring exchange to strengthen common local and global alliances within the artistic community.

The WELTKUNSTZIMMER residency is divided into cooperation with Yerevan and Tbilisi (Georgia/Armenia), Osaka (Japan) and the exchange program with Bangalore (India). It was the first start of a long-term cooperation of the WELTKUNSTZIMMER with the Goethe Institute Bangalore, the Ben J. Riepe Company and the FREIRAUM.
